How every Damage Control Solutions build is delivered, protected, and supported — in plain language.
The short version
Custom systems are delivered as locked, production-ready packages. Core logic is protected and not intended for client modification. Unauthorized changes void support and convert all repair work to billable rates. We strongly advise leaving the delivered system unchanged.
1. Purpose
This policy explains how custom automated systems from Damage Control Solutions are delivered, protected, and supported. The goal is to keep your system stable, secure, and operating exactly as designed — while preventing unauthorized changes.
2. What You Receive
Upon completion you receive a fully configured, production-ready system. This is a locked operational package that includes the complete working system, all required configuration, startup and usage instructions, and support documentation.
The system is delivered as a finished product, not as editable source material.
3. Locked Components
The following are protected and not intended for client modification: core operating logic, behavioral rules and instructions, automation workflows, monitoring and security functions, internal scripts and supporting code, and system architecture.
These elements are sealed to maintain reliability and performance.
4. Permitted Client Adjustments
You may only change items explicitly marked as adjustable, such as notification preferences (alerts and messaging destinations), approved personal settings listed in your delivery documents, and your own credentials when instructed.
Any other change is considered unauthorized.
5. Unauthorized Modifications
If the system is altered outside of approved settings: all included support and performance guarantees are void, system stability and security are no longer assured, any diagnosis, repair, or restoration work becomes billable, and the system may need to be restored from the original locked version.
8. Ownership
You receive a license to use the delivered system for your internal business operations. The underlying design, logic, architecture, and custom programming remain the exclusive intellectual property of Damage Control Solutions.
Redistribution, resale, or rebranding of the system is not permitted without written authorization.
6. Support & Repair Terms
| Situation | Support type | Cost |
|---|
| Normal operation (no unauthorized changes) | Standard support | As agreed in the original contract |
| Requested new features or upgrades | Enhancement work | Quoted separately |
| Unauthorized modifications by client or third party | Repair / Recovery | Billable at repair rates |
| Full restoration to original locked state | Restore service | Billable |
Repair work is charged at a higher rate because unauthorized changes require additional investigation and recovery effort.
7. Protecting Your Investment
- Do not attempt to open, edit, or reverse-engineer internal system files
- Do not install additional automation tools into the same environment without prior approval
- Contact us before making any structural changes
- Keep the original delivery package as a clean restore point
9. Acceptance. By accepting delivery of the system, the client acknowledges and agrees to this Client System Protection Policy.
